As all the world knows, Michael Jackson passed away on Thursday. I have been listening to his CDs all weekend and watching his VHS tapes. My family was a big fan of his and we have all the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson music on tape or CDs. I am still in shock. I know some of you may be sick of hearing people say, "He inspired me to be a singer or dancer; He changed music forever." Its true. I personally remember being 5 years old and learning the dance to Thriller (mind you, this was over 10 years after the original album was released) and I still know it to this day. I know the words to the majority of his songs. I actually started taking dance lessons in large part to him.
Last night I watched the BET awards, just for his tribute. I personally think that BET did a horrible job. There was SO much more they could have done. I was largely disappointed. At the end of the show, Janet Jackson came on stage for a few, brief seconds and thanked everyone for their love and support. Jamie Fox and Neyo closed the show singing "I'll Be There". I cannot prevent myself from crying. Click here if you are interested in the clip.
To end this entry, I'll post a link to my favourite songs by the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson:
Dancing Machine- This clip shows off Michael's robot dance around 1:58. Amazing.
The Way You Make Me Feel
Scream- A duet he did with Janet
There are plenty more but I'll just share my top 3; each from a different decade.
Rest in Peace Michael Jackson <3

Happy Father's Day!
It's been a while since my last post. I haven't really had anything interesting to blog about.
Happy Father's Day to all the papas out there! It was quite the challenge to find my dad a gift. I'm the worst at buy gifts for males. I always end up buying either cologne or a gift card to Canadian Tire.
This year was different... I bought my father an iPod! Haha! It's funny, because he doesn't know anything about mp3 players. One day I'll have to sit him down and teach him all the basics such as using iTunes, uploading songs, and the concept of shuffling.
Well that's it for now. My brother and I are off to take my parents out for dinner. Bye!

Tom Hanks is Our Destiny
I have a paper due to tomorrow which is basically done. It just needs some editing. But, I have found myself on here instead. Currently, it is raining and that is never a good source of motivation for me. It just makes me tired and want to go back to bed.
Anyways, I had a Tom Hanks movies marathon this weekend and it wasn't intentional! I was at a friend's house with another person. This friend basically has a Blockbuster times a hundred in their house. We each grabbed a few movies that we wanted to watch, and most starred Tom Hanks! Then before we started watching the movies, we somehow started discussing which one of us would be perfect for Tom Hanks. Yeah, we are just a little bit crazy. We watched the Da Vinci Code, Forrest Gump, Big, and A League of Their Own. Fun times.
Well I'm off now to edit my paper. Bye bye.
Ps- I am NOT the girl for Tom, according to my friends :)

Neighbourhood Children/Demons
I am going to complain like a teenager right now. I was studying for a midterm for the past 3 days and I couldn't concentrate at all. I am a slightly superstitious person, so I have to be in the same room every time I study. I have literally never studied at the library, on campus, at a friend's house, or in a different room in my house. People think it's weird but hey, it's worked for me so far.
Anyways, the weather has been very nice lately so of course, all the kids that live on my street are outside. I live in Canada, so the big sport to play during nice weather is street hockey. They play RIGHT OUTSIDE my window. Not only is their hockey playing loud with the constant banging of sticks and the metal net tipping over, but they also feel the need to SCREAM during their conversations. They talked about Fred from Youtube and how "hilarious he is", their favourite Lil' Wayne song, and some other sort of gibberish.
I would have yelled at them to be quiet but I've done that before. They don't listen. They use the old line "It's a free country." So I gave them a very angered look and I slammed my window shut as hard as I could.
Well I'm done. Bye
Ps- Thank you to blogspot member Brad. He actually commented on my last post with some very encouraging words. That was very nice! :)
